The Call

About the time Merek was finishing high school, in May 2019, he got notice (online these days via text and email) that his mission call had arrived. We printed it out together (without looking, which the church has made easy to do with this new system) so we could have a more traditional opening. We sealed it in an envelope and put it in the living room and then invited everyone over that night to see where he was going.

All the people who came, including Merek, tried to guess where we was going on a map.

In the middle, in Mexico, Merek put his first choice, and decided to choose the middle of Mexico. Turns out, he was spot on. He got called to the Mexico Aguascalientes Mission with a report date of September 10th (it was later changed to September 3rd because of some logistics issues). He was stoked. We commemorated the event with a few pics.
