Wow! That's really cool.

But, I'm going to remain skeptical for now - Remember, this is the company that still hasn't quite gotten plain old voice recognition to work at an acceptable level. But, I hope they succeed.

Now, should they succeed, I envision a LOT of knocked-over objects in America's living rooms. :-D

Ya...really, Jen...this has far reaching implications, including natural interfaces with machines throughout the house eventually. Really amazing stuff. It's hard to comprehend how far we've come in such a relatively short amount of time.

Too crazy cool. Thanks for sharing. The big question is how affordable will this be? I know it will be a big hit. I not too big into controller games but I'd definitely play this.

Great thing about coming to cheer you on, you got Marcello motivated to start training.
Yeah, now I can have a workout buddy. More like I will be dragging him with my bike.=) LOL
Look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Good idea...it's easy to use. I've kind of decided to use only the built in software that comes with it for two reasons; 1) saves time...it's simple software so I can't get too fancy with my regular editing...which takes more time, and 2) show what it can do, even with the simplist of software that anyone can use. The music overlay thing is rudamentary, but built into that software...complete with about 5 or 6 tunes that you can use. Of course, you can use other music...but to keep it legal, it would have to be my own.

Glad you're liking the vids...after all, you forced me into it. :)

It probably screwed some of them up...you know, undue pressure. :) We had a good time, though, I guess that's what counts. Most of our legs have almost recovered...it's amazing how, even if you've been working out, doing something different wreaks havok on our old bodies.

Good point, Timaree. The scariest thing is probably what people in power may do to take advantage of the situation; they're already going for our money, what else will they try to take away from us during a hyped up frenzy.

And when I say "people in power", it's not only people in government (regardless of political affiliation), but anyone who has wide influence or power. Fear and ignorance has ALWAYS been a tool of the powerful and manipulative, and I don't think this is any different. Free yourselves.

Hey Bill: Interesting thoughts. I kind of agree with you.
The hype is not matching the statistics. But I am still watching it closely.
The concerns for me are if it mutates, then we could have something worse. Or... if it truly follows the pattern of the flu in 1918 that everyone is referencing, I have read that that one was mild in the Spring, died down by summer, and then came back with a vengeance in the fall/winter and killed millions. I'm not totally convinced yet that this is the same thing.

Now I see things a little different. I'm more concerned about the government taking advantage here and things like martial law, forced vaccines, loss of freedoms, etc. To me, that is scarier than the flu.

The swine flu does not necessarily scare me. I am studying to be an herbalist, I have a different approach to dealing with it and I'm not worried. I think the medical way of dealing with the flu is dangerous and why so many die. Now I know that's probably a controversial opinion. I don't expect anyone to agree with me.

But I do agree with you, that the coverage certainly seems to be overhyped. Wonder why?

Or… if it truly follows the pattern of the flu in 1918 that everyone is referencing, I have read that that one was mild in the Spring, died down by summer, and then came back with a vengeance in the fall/winter and killed millions. I’m not totally convinced yet that this is the same thing.

Now I see things a little different. I’m more concerned about the government taking advantage here and things like martial law, forced vaccines, loss of freedoms, etc. To me, that is scarier than the flu.

The swine flu does not necessarily scare me. I am studying to be an herbalist, I have a different approach to dealing with it and I’m not worried. I think the medical way of dealing with the flu is dangerous and why so many die. Now I know that’s probably a controversial opinion. I don’t expect anyone to agree with me.

But I do agree with you, that the coverage certainly seems to be overhyped. Wonder why?

Ya, Steven...the best ones seem to always be the ones you rescue, right? Otis is now almost 20 months old (estimated) and has turned out to be an absolutely wonderful dog. Of course there's challenges, as with any dog, but for the most part he is a wonderful addition to the family who loves life, loves people, and loves to go for walks (and then lounge around the rest of the day). He's very obdedient and loyal, too. In any case...he's doing great. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Nice work, Bill.

I'm always astounded that people buy dogs from breeders, or - heaven forbid - pet stores, when there are so many beautiful dogs in need of homes.

I wish you many happy years with Otis!

You know...I didn't even think to look at the prices...I just assumed it would all be MSRP. I suppose local taxes would be added on, too. Also, there has to be some commission for the robot. :)
